fundraisers

Third party fundraisers are a vital part of Wishing Star’s income.

Anyone can put on a third party event. Past fundraisers include car washes, golf tournaments, proceeds from a day’s sales at a business and more. If you would like to host a third-party event and help us change lives, please follow the link below to learn more or sign up to Host a Fundraiser!

THANK YOU to some of our recent third party fundraisers for their support of the Wishing Star Foundation!

Tri-City Americans Wishing Star Night presented by Bergstrom Aircraft ($1,707)

On February 27, Bergstrom Aircraft sponsored a “Chuck a Star” promotion for Wishing Star. Hockey fans could purchase a foam star to throw on the ice during intermission. The Boilermakers Local 242 also sold tickets to the game, with a portion of ticket price coming to Wishing Star. What a fun night!

Taylor’s Fundraiser ($630)

Taylor is a 6th grader from Spokane. She was given $50 through an activity at church and encouraged to do something amazing with it. She decided to multiply her donation to help grant a wish. We think she did an AMAZING job!

Crazy Beagle Coffee ($405)

Thank you to the employees at Crazy Beagle Coffee in Liberty Lake for donating your tips for 5 days to Wishing Star.

Girl Scouts ($93 and donation of cookies)

Some wonderful Girl Scouts in Spokane raised money to help us grant wishes, while also making sure several of our wish families received some free boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

Quilts for a Cause/ Farm Chicks Show ($884)

Our wonderful volunteers Linda, Bob and Donna spend six months of the year making quilts for Wishing Star. Then more of our rock-star volunteers- Sharon and Bill- take the weekend to sell those quilts and other goodies at the annual Farm Chicks show out at the Spokane Fair Grounds. Thank you to ALL for your dedication and for helping us change the lives of local children.

No-Li Brewhouse June Charity of the Month ($1,260)
For the month of June, all guests that ordered a tasting tray at No-Li had the opportunity to donate to Wishing Star.

Sheldon Shield Hat Sales at Watershed ($480) Wish kid Sheldon’s best friend, Robbie, sold hats in memory of Sheldon at Watershed- working toward granting the 3rd Sheldon Shield wish!

HAPO Polar Plunge ($676)
HAPO employees, including Wish Dad Pedro, braved the cold weather and jumped into the Columbia River to raise money for wishes.

Andrew-Romberg Insurance ($TBD)
For the month of July, Andre-Romberg donated 50 cents for every new “like” on their page and an additional donation for each review they received. Thank you, Andre-Romberg for sharing more about the work we do, and for your donation.
